Tattoo Age: Freddy Corbin, Part 1

In the first installment of the Freddy Corbin series, we get familiar with Freddy’s tattoos as well as see his two Oakland tattoo parlors, Temple and Tattoo 13. Freddy’s style is further clarified by his right hand man and fellow tattooer, Jason Mcafee. We also got a chance to speak with another Oakland legend, pro skater and chopper guy, Max Schaaf, about understanding Mr. Corbin’s coolness. Join the conversation on Facebook at www.facebook.com

It’s right Jeff Gogue is one of the top tier artist’s out there, but it’s people like Freddy Corbin, Grime, Mike Rubendall and Troy Denning that started well before Jeff and they had the influential impact on the tattooing world for being the people they are and what they have done for the tattoo community, if anything Jeff Gogue probably respects these guys as much as you respect him.

It’s an ancient symbol used by many cultures, especially Buddhists, which brings well being and strength, I’m guessing that’s why Corbin has it since he’s quite spiritual. It was supposed to be a excellent sign till the Nazis took it and ruined it.
